Giulia de Giovanelli
Personal Projects
Visual designer, art educator and researcher.
I gained my BA in Visual Arts and Performing Arts at the Fine Arts Academy in Venice and a MA in Experimental Publishing at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. Since I graduated, I’ve been working in various fields, from managing the printing press of a small publishing house (aka PrintRoom Rotterdam), freelancing as a graphic designer and artist, working as a teacher in middle school, collaborating with a brand design studio (Puls Studio), till founding my own design studio together with my best friend Emma (Acmea Studio). Maybe I should also mention that to support all of these activities I had to work double shifts in restaurant as a cook and waitress and stress out a lot. At the moment I’m living a bit of a slower life outside the city, together with my partner and my one year old son, which is my main source of inspiration.
